Deborah K. Wright

Attorney
Deborah Wright is a founding member of the law firm, Wright & Kirschbraun, LLLC. Deborah was originally licensed to practice law in both the states of Oklahoma and Texas in 1977 and 1978, respectively, having practiced primarily in the areas of general business litigation, including antitrust and securities fraud in both federal and state court. She was admitted to practice before the United States District Court for the District of Hawaii in 1986 and was admitted to the State Bar of Hawaii in 1987. She has since been admitted to practice before the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals and the Supreme Court of the United States. In 1987, Deborah moved to Maui and became of counsel to the firm of Case & Lynch in charge of its Maui litigation. She practiced with Case & Lynch until her partner/brother and she established their own firm in October of 1990. Deborah’s practice at Case & Lynch was primarily in the area of civil litigation, real estate and, additionally, some business law. She continues her practice in these areas at Wright & Kirschbraun. Deborah was appointed to serve on the Maui County Charter Commission from 1991 to 1992 and has since been appointed to the Disciplinary Board of the Judiciary from 1992 to 1998, Maui County Community Television, Inc. Board of Directors (concerning Maui’s community access channel) from 1992 to 1995, and the St. Anthony High School Board of Directors, and has served several terms on the Maui Habitat for Humanity Board of Directors. She co-chaired the Hawaii State Bar Association Committee on Professional Responsibility and its development of a professionalism course. Her formal education included: University of Tulsa College of Law, Tulsa, Oklahoma J.D. - 1977 Southern Methodist University, Dallas, Texas B.A. - 1973

Douglas R. Wright

Attorney
Doug Wright is a member of the law firm, Wright & Kirschbraun, LLLC. He grew up on Maui and graduated from St. Anthony High School. He attended the University of Notre Dame as an undergraduate and subsequently earned a J.D. and M.B.A. in 2001 from Hofstra University. Doug was first licensed to practice law in South Carolina in 2001, where he practiced in Charleston for three years primarily in the area of insurance defense. In 2004 he moved to upstate New York, where he became licensed and practiced for eight years, five of those years as a member of Hayes & Wright, PLLC, primarily in the areas of real estate transactions, business organization, operational activities and transactions, contracts, municipal law, permitting activities, personal estate planning and general practice. In January of 2012, he was admitted to practice law in the State of Hawaii, and returned home to Maui to join Wright & Kirschbraun, LLLC. Doug continues his practice in real estate, business formation and transactions, personal estate planning and civil litigation. Doug has served on numerous volunteer organizations, including the Board of Directors for Ka Hale A Ke Ola Homeless Resource Centers, St. Anthony High School and Learning Endeavors.
